Basketball season has tipped for former Hoosiers across the globe.

Below we take a look at the former IU basketball players who are still competing professionally, either in the NBA’s G League or overseas.

    NBA G-League

Romeo Langford:  The IU one-and-done star signed with the Utah Jazz during the offseason and is currently with their G League affiliate the Salt Lake City Stars.  Still just 24 years old, Langford has shot the ball well through three games.  He’s averaging 9.7 points and 3.0 rebounds through three games while shooting 62.5 percent overall (on 15 shots) and 83.3 percent from three (on six shots).

Miller Kopp:  The two-year IU starter originally signed to play in France but later signed with the Oklahoma City Blue, G League affiliate of the Thunder.  Kopp has played in five games (23.6 minutes per contest) and is averaging 9.4 points and 3.2 rebounds.  He’s shooting 35.7 percent overall, and 32.4 percent from three.

    International

Yogi Ferrell:  KK Partizan Belgrade in Serbia has reached a two-month agreement with Ferrell, according to Thursday reports.  After several seasons in Slovenia and the NBA before that, Ferrell originally decided to play in China this year.  Playing for the Shanghai Sharks, Ferrell was having a productive season thus far, averaging 14.3 points, 5.1 assists, 4.4 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 27.9 minutes over eight games.

Noah Vonleh:  The one-and-done IU big man teamed up with Ferrell on the Shanghai Sharks in China.  The now 28 year old is averaging 14.0 points and 6.5 rebounds.  Vonleh spent several seasons in the NBA, most recently last year with the Boston Celtics.  This is his second season with the Sharks.

Juwan Morgan:  The former Hoosier is playing his first season overseas after several years bouncing between the NBA and G League.  Morgan is with Runa Moscow in Russia where he’s averaging 12.9 points and 6.1 rebounds through eight games.

Al Durham:  The four-year IU player and graduate is with Hamburg Towers in Germany.  Durham played in Greece and the U.K. a year ago.  He transferred to Providence for his fifth season of college basketball.  So far this season Durham is averaging 16.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists in the top-tier league in Germany.

Troy Williams:  Williams’ journey has taken him to Taiwan, Philippines, and Venezuela over the least year.  He was reported to have signed with a team in Lebanon but has not played in any games to this point.

Justin Smith:  The three-year Hoosier is currently in Israel with Hapoel Holon in Basketball Champions League.

Josh Newkirk:  Newkirk most recently played for Niigata Albirex in Japan – B2 League in October.

Joey Brunk:  Brunk most recently played for BK KVIS Pardubice in Czech Republic – Mattoni NBL in October.

Others who have been with teams during the calendar year include:

    • Devonte Green (Sweden)
    • Robert Johnson (France)
