Class of 2024 wing Tyler Betsey named his top-seven schools on Wednesday.

The top-40 Connecticut product will choose between Indiana, Duke, UConn, Alabama, Cincinnati, Creighton and Villanova.

Betsey spoke at length with Rivals’ national analyst Rob Cassidy, and he said his June visit to IU was the best one he has taken thus far.

“The visit was great. I would honestly say it was my best visit so far,” Betsey told Cassidy.  “They were all super comfortable with my family. It was almost like we were all family. We were all comfortable with Mike Woodson and the staff. It was great. They just talked to me about how they would make a plan for me. They kept talking about how they like the way I shoot and how my shooting could take me anywhere.”

He gave similar glowing praise in an interview with Joe Tipton of On3.

“It was the coaching staff that really stood out for me,” Betsey told Woodson.  “We got a good connection, it felt like I had already known them for a long time when I went out there. My family and I were all really comfortable with the coaching staff. Standing in Assembly Hall was memorable for me. I mean, that place is huge; there were seats everywhere. And when I went on my visit, they had a kids camp, so we got to see how many people can really fit in there.”

According to the reports, Betsey will take September visits to Alabama, Duke and Cincinnati, and look to announce a decision in the first half of October.  He also already visited UConn and Creighton.

According to the On3 Industry Average, the 6-foot-8 Betsey is a 4-star, the No. 31 player in the 2024 class, and the No. 13 small forward.
