In addition to being opening day for most college football teams, today is Lee Corso’s final day at ESPN’s College Football Gameday.
The 90-year-old Corso is retiring after today’s edition of the iconic national pregame show.
Corso coached at Indiana for 10 seasons, from 1973-82. He led the program to its first-ever bowl win in 1979.
IU published a more than eight-minute tribute to Corso, with several former players sharing stories.
A lasting impact on & off the field.
From all of us, thank you Coach Corso. ❤️ pic.twitter.com/ChIOUPXMXK
