After previously not donating to IU athletics, Mark Cuban gave the athletic program a large amount last year, clearly intended to help Curt Cignetti’s football operation.
Per Front Office Sports, Cuban is at it again.
Indiana’s most famous alum cut the Hoosiers an even bigger check for this transfer portal cycle than he did last year.

“Let’s just say they are happier this year than last year,” Cuban wrote to Front Office Sports in an email.
The donation, just like last year’s, is not specifically designated for football. Cuban told FOS that he lets Indiana athletic director Scott Dolson allocate the money as he sees fit. But the donation was clearly made with football in mind, as Cuban told FOS he was “already committed for this portal.”
Indiana got off to a very fast start in the transfer portal, adding nine players within the first five days after the portal opened on January 2. The Hoosiers notably landed commitments from TCU quarterback Josh Hoover, Michigan State wide receiver Nick Marsh, and Boston College running back Turbo Richard, among others.
