Indiana All-American linebacker Aiden Fisher is expected to return to the starting lineup when the Hoosiers face Penn State this afternoon.
That’s according to a Saturday morning report by ESPN’s Pete Thamel.
Fisher left the first half of the UCLA game two weeks ago with an apparent knee injury, and did not play last weekend at Maryland despite dressing and participating in a portion of pregame warmups.
The senior linebacker has 49 tackles this season, including 7.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks.
Thamel says IU star wide receiver Elijah Sarratt is game-time decision at Penn State as he recovers from a hamstring injury. Sarratt played sparingly in the first half at Maryland before departing the game for good.
Sarratt is Indiana’s leading receiver with 45 catches for 609 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Indiana linebacker Kaiden Turner, kicker Brendan Franke and guard Drew Evans are all listed as out on the Big Ten availability report. Fisher is not listed on the report, and Sarratt is questionable.
We will have live updates from the field at Penn State.
No. 2 Indiana and Penn State kick at Noon ET at Beaver Stadium in University Park, Pa.
