IU staff set to go visit 2023 big man Arrinten Page

Sept. 9 is the first day college coaches can go off campus and visit recruiting targets, and we expect IU to pay a visit to class of 2023 forward Arrinten Page right away.

According to sources, head coach Mike Woodson is going to visit Page on Friday.

Page took an official visit to IU in July, and he also took official visits to Missouri, Cincinnati, USC and Miami (Fla.) during his junior year.

While multiple reports have suggested Page’s recruitment is a five team race involving the schools he visited, things may be a bit more focused on IU, Miami and USC at this point.  At least that’s the thinking in some circles.

A wildcard in Page’s recruitment has always been the destination of his high school and AAU teammate, 5-star point guard Isaiah Collier.  Cincinnati and USC are the two schools recruiting both players.

Page told The Daily Hoosier after his July visit that he’d begin to narrow things down and perhaps reach a decision in the September/October timeframe.  That still appears to be the timeline.

He left his Bloomington visit impressed with the IU staff.

“Coach Woodson, Coach Ya (Yasir Rosemond), those are two good dudes,” Page told The Daily Hoosier.  “Very good people. Coach Woodson, he’s a down-to-earth guy. He’s been in the NBA, but you’d never be able to tell because he is so real. And not just the staff but I got to meet some of the guys on the team, and they are just really a family based team.”

Indiana currently has two guards verbally committed in its 2023 class — combo guard Jakai Newton, and point guard Gabe Cupps.
