Follow along with live updates below as Indiana takes on Wisconsin at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington.

Feel free also to join the discussion thread below to share your views.

The Hoosiers and Badgers tip off at noon ET on FOX.

    ———————————————————————–

    FINAL

Indiana 78, Wisconsin 77, in overtime. The Hoosiers survive and earn a good win over a quality opponent. This team just found a way, today.

    OVERTIME

78-77 Indiana with 2.8 seconds left. Clutch foul shots by Wilkerson.

Big mistake by Wisconsin gives IU hope with 15.1 seconds left. Offensive foul on Nick Boyd, drawn by Conor Enright. Lamar Wilkerson capitalizes and gets to the foul line with 2.8 seconds and IU down 77-76.

56.1 seconds left: Wisconsin leads Indiana 77-74.

74-72 Wisconsin with 2:21 left in OT, Wilkerson about to shoot free throws. Stoppage in play for some reason.

Five more minutes of basketball coming up.

    SECOND HALF

END OF REGULATION: Indiana 72, Wisconsin 72. We are going to overtime, for the second time in IU’s last three contests.

    Image

TImeout Badgers. Game is tied 72-72 with 11.2 seconds left.

Wisconsin took its first lead of the game with 1:48 remaining, and then made it a four-point game with a minute to go. The Hoosiers are in trouble. They’re shooting 14 percent from 3-point range — 1 for 7 — in the second half.

Final media timeout: IU 68, Wisconsin 62.

    • Wisconsin continues to stay in the game. The offensive rebounding is becoming a bigger problem for Indiana: UW is now up to 14 offensive boards.
    • But Sam Alexis is having a huge game now. He has a season-high 19 points on 9-of-10 shooting. The Badgers haven’t been able to stop him.

It’s 59-52 Indiana with 7:23 left in the ballgame.

    • IU lost that last segment 6-3. Sam Alexis has been clearly more effective inside today than Reed Bailey. The Florida transfer is having a nice game: 6 for 7 shooting for 12 points, four rebounds, an assist, and three blocks.
    • The Hoosiers are doing a good job on the glass, as the rebounding battle is even 27-27. Wisconsin has 10 offensive rebounds, which I’m sure Darian DeVries doesn’t love, but IU is doing what it needs to do.
    • Nick Dorn has been very quiet today, to the point where Jasai Miles could end up in Indiana’s crunch time lineup over him.

IU leads Wisconsin 56-46 at the under-12 timeout.

    • Lamar Wilkerson briefly went to the Indiana locker room, but he returned to the bench pretty quickly and then went right back in the game. It should go without saying that Indiana cannot afford to lose him.
    • IU now has four players in double-figure scoring: Wilkerson (15 points), Tucker DeVries (14), Conor Enright (11), and Sam Alexis (10). Indiana is shooting 5 for 17 from 3-point range, but 57 percent from the field. The Hoosiers are a strong 14 for 19 on layups and dunks.

First media timeout of the second half: Indiana has stretched its lead to 44-34.

    • Four points each for Sam Alexis and Conor Enright.
    • Enright, in particular, has been such a key for IU today. This offense is more well-rounded when he is looking to score. He’s tied for the team lead with 11 points on 5-for-8 shooting, with four assists and no turnovers.

IU and Wisconsin are underway in the second half. The Hoosiers let a 14-point lead get away as the Badgers clawed back into the game, but Indiana still holds the lead.

    HALFTIME

    Indiana 36, Wisconsin 30

    FIRST HALF

30-23 Hoosiers at the final media timeout of the first half.

    • Wisconsin made its run in that last segment, as Indiana is in a scoring drought of more than two minutes.
    • Still, the Hoosiers have done a good job in this half of protecting the ball, with only two turnovers so far. And they’ve avoided foul trouble for the most part so far — only Conor Enright has multiple fouls. Jasai Miles, Lamar Wilkerson, and Sam Alexis have one each.

Indiana is on an 8-0 run and Greg Gard calls timeout, with the Hoosiers up 26-12 at the 8:26 mark in the first half.

    • IU’s defense has been really good so far. Wisconsin just has not had many clean looks at the hoop, and the Badgers aren’t converting the ones they have found. The Hoosiers are making things tough on UW on that end.
    • And on the home side, Tucker DeVries has knocked down a couple 3-pointers, and Enright has continued to look like a bigger scoring threat. This has been good stuff overall by Darian DeVries’ team.

Under-12 timeout: Indiana 14, Wisconsin 8, 11:55 left in the first half.

    • Lamar Wilkerson is up to seven points, on 3-for-4 shooting. He’s made some big buckets already.
    • Conor Enright made a pretty ridiculous shot during this segment with the shot clock fading, he pulled up at the last possible moment and fired off a contested three that still went down.

IU leads Wisconsin 7-3 at the first media timeout, just over five minutes into the game.

    • Hoosiers started on a 7-0 run, though they’re not setting the world on fire shooting, at just 3 for 8 so far and 1 for 5 from 3-point range.
    • However, Indiana has played good defense. Wisconsin is shooting 1 for 8 from the floor and has had to take some contested looks.

Tipoff is imminent in Bloomington. Big opportunity for both sides, really, today. Would be a good road win for Wisconsin, and it would be another win over a quality opponent for the Hoosiers.

    PREGAME NOTES

Starting lineups for both teams below:

Here is the full availability report. Tayton Conerway was not listed, but he is also out for the Hoosiers today. He was a late scratch with an illness — he sat on the sideline during IU’s first round of pregame warmups wearing a heavy coat, and an assistant coach eventually sent him home.
