IU makes 2025 forward Trent Sisley’s final five schools

Class of 2025 four-star Trent Sisley has trimmed his recruitment to five schools, and Indiana made the cut.

The 6-foot-7 power forward, per multiple reports, is down to IU, Purdue, Notre Dame, Iowa, and Michigan State.

247Sports Composite ranks the Lincoln City native as the No. 73 overall player and the No. 19 power forward in the class. Rivals has Sisley at No. 67 overall.

The Heritage Hills product held other offers from Ohio State, Wisconsin, Northwestern, Louisville, West Virginia, and UCF, but eliminated those schools from contention.

Sisley is one of Indiana’s biggest in-state recruiting priorities for the class of 2025. He recently played in Bloomington, for IU’s team camp, and the Hoosiers made their interest clear. Sisley, along with fellow IU four-star targets Braylon Mullins and Malachi Moreno, has an official visit to Indiana scheduled for the weekend of Sept. 20. IU football is hosting Charlotte that weekend, on Sept. 21.

Head coach Mike Woodson has made clear that continuing to attract top high school talent like Sisley, Braylon Mullins, and Malachi Moreno — without directly referencing them by name — is a high priority.

“Got to keep recruiting them. I’m not going to stop recruiting them. I think they’re talented enough to help us here in the future. So we’re still on their doorsteps, we’re still going to AAU games and I’m on the phone constantly communicating, because we’d like to see them stay here in the state. But again, it’s up to these guys. They’ve been offered the scholarship. I don’t know what more we can do. We could keep hammering home and say ‘We want you in the uniform; Come see us; Can we come see you?’ and they still tell us no,” Woodson said before IU’s annual fundraising event at Huber Winery in May. “Those guys have that opportunity because I have offered them scholarships, and I do want them here. I’ve just got to keep recruiting them. I can’t quit. And hopefully one or two — if not all of them — will say ‘Yes I’m coming.’ It makes life a lot easier for us.”
