    IU football: TDH game-by-game staff predictions for the 2023 season

    Below are The Daily Hoosier’s game-by-game staff predictions for the 2023 IU football season.

    If you’re looking for unbridled optimism, you’ve come to the wrong place.

    The game-by-game predictions are further below.  Here’s an overview of what we came up with:

    • Consensus wins:  Indiana State, Akron, Rutgers
    • Consensus losses:  Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Wisconsin, Illinois
    • Toss-ups:  Louisville, Maryland, Michigan State, Purdue

    AGGREGATE STAFF PREDICTION (3-9)

    Somehow the average of the predictions was worse than any of the predictions.  Oh IU football, how you never cease to amaze.

    Sept. 2 — vs. Ohio State:  L – 15-48
    Sept. 8 — vs. Indiana State:  W – 38-10
    Sept. 16 — Louisville:  L – 25-28
    Sept. 23 — vs. Akron: W – 37-14
    Sept. 30 — at Maryland:  L – 21-32
    Oct. 14 — at Michigan:  L  – 8-44
    Oct. 21 — vs. Rutgers:  W – 26-16
    Oct. 28 — at Penn State:  L – 13-39
    Nov. 4 — vs. Wisconsin:  L – 17-32
