Indiana football will get a key playmaker back for the Old Oaken Bucket game, but it’s losing a different one.
The Hoosiers will not have wide receiver E.J. Williams Jr. on Friday — he’s listed as out on the Big Ten availability report. Head coach Curt Cignetti, during the week, did not mention Williams being at risk of missing the game. IU will, however, get Elijah Sarratt back at Ross-Ade Stadium in West Lafayette, Ind. The star wideout has been out two straight games with an injury, and he missed most of the Maryland game as well.
Additionally, left guard Drew Evans is set to return after a three-game absence. The redshirt junior was grading among the best guards in the country, per Pro Football Focus, prior to his injury.
Defensive end Mikail Kamara, who was shaken up during Indiana’s win over Wisconsin, is also not listed on the availability report.
Kicker Brendan Franke remains out, leaving Quinn Warren on kickoff duty for the fourth straight game.
