Indiana and Miami (OH) tip-off at 7 p.m. ET on BTN.

    ———————————————————————–

FINAL: Indiana 76, Miami (OH) 57

    SECOND HALF

Hoosiers lead 67-50 with 3:50 left in the game

    • Indiana up to a 12-0 run over the past five minutes. Miami can’t convert on anything offensively.
    • Quiet night for Mgbako, who seemed to be dealing with something throughout the game. Went into the locker room after a substitution in the second half. He has since returned to the game, however.

Under-8 timeout and Indiana’s lead grows to 61-50.

    • Hoosiers ended the sequence with a Trey Galloway corner three. He’s up to 13 points. Indiana 6-16 from threes on the night.
    • Keep an eye on Ballo’s stat line for a triple-double. 13 points, 17 rebounds, six assists.

Timeout on the floor with 11:27 to play, and Indiana leads 50-45.

    • Hoosiers are lucky Miami isn’t winning this game right now. Indiana hasn’t scored a point in the last 3:44.
    • Miami (OH)’s starting big Antwone Wilfork is up to four fouls.

Media timeout with 14:33 left to play, Indiana leads 50-42.

    • Oumar Ballo is already up to a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Up to five assists for him as well.

HALFTIME: Indiana 39, Miami (OH) 36

    FIRST HALF

Woodson with a timeout with 44 seconds left, 38-34 Hoosiers.

    • Once again a rough stretch for Indiana defensively. The Redhawks are 7-16 from beyond the arc.

Final media timeout of the half, and the Hoosier lead is cut to 35-29 with 3:10 left.

    • A few defensive lapses have gotten the Redhawks back into the game. Miami is 6-14 from 3-point range so far.
    • Miami’s bench has also scored 14 points, compared to Indiana’s three.

Media timeout with 7:49 in the first half, Indiana leads 25-15.

    • Hoosiers have looked very comfortable on offense in the past two games especially. Trey Galloway has been a huge part of that.  Seven points for him which leads all scorers.
    • Ballo’s motor has also been exceptional so far. Three points, seven rebounds, three assists, a block and a steal on the night.

The Hoosiers still lead 19-11 with 10:48 left in the half.

    • Once again Indiana going small in their opening rotation. Goode and Tucker in for Ballo and Galloway. The lineup has been doing well defensively, as Miami has no field goals in the past three minutes.
    • Need to pull out a tape measurer for Luke Goode’s latest 3-pointer. Pulled it from the “Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall” signage on the south bucket.

Indiana with a 13-3 lead through the first four minutes.

    • Quality offensive start for Indiana. 6-for-8 from the field. Reneau leads all with six.
    • Oumar Ballo came away with a rebound on the defensive end and tried to take it up himself. Lost control of it pretty quickly and ended up on the floor. Even so, I have to applaud the effort from the big man.

    PREGAME NOTES

Kanaan Carlyle and Gabe Cupps remain OUT for tonight’s contest.

One to watch on the Redhawks roster: Peter Suder. He’s a Carmel, Ind. native averaging 17 points a game, and scored 42 in their last one.
