Indiana and the Wildcats tip off at Noon ET on BTN.

    ———————————————————————–

    FINAL: Indiana 100 – Bethune-Cookman 56

    Image

    SECOND HALF

IU up 90-53 with 3:31 left.

    • Make that five double-figure scorers for Indiana with Sam Alexis. He’s got 14 on the day with some nice flashes of skill on the low block.

Hoosiers lead 86-45 with 6:40 to play.

    • Nick Dorn has also had some good minutes off the bench. He’s got nine points without a miss from beyond the arc. Good to see him playing well after missing the first few games.
    • As a team, IU has shot 40 percent from long range today on an 11-for-27 clip. They’ve also only turned the ball over five times and have 24 assists. An overall offensive beatdown today.

Indiana ahead 69-33 with 12 minutes to go.

    • This one has been decided a long time ago. Hoosiers continue to shoot efficiently from the field at 52 percent, and they’re holding Bethune-Cookman to 24 percent. Walk-ons should see some minutes towards the end.
    • Lamar Wilkerson has entered double figures with 11. He’s slowed down the past few games, but that can happen when you have such a high-volume shooter. Better to have games like these now rather than later.

IU leads 63-27 with 14:59 left.

    • Hoosiers continue to play amazing defense. The Wildcats are shooting 23 percent from the field and have no makes in their last six shots. Bethune-Cookman is scoring .659 points per possession.
    • Sisley, DeVries, and Wilkerson are all in double figures for the Hoosiers. DeVries leads all scorers with 15 on the day, with four made threes.

    HALFTIME: Indiana 51 – Bethune-Cookman 23

    FIRST HALF

Indiana up 48-19 with 3:10 in the half.

    • Bethune-Cookman can’t stop the Hoosiers right now. IU is on another 10-0 run over the last two and a half minutes. Indiana is up to 7-for-15 from outside.
    • I knew I noticed a name on Bethune-Cookman’s roster, and it’s former McDonald’s All-American Arterio Morris. He spent his Freshman year at Texas, then spent a year at the junior college level. He only has two points, but he certainly has the potential to make an impact.

IU up 37-17 with 6:34 in the first half.

    • Indiana has slowed down a bit offensively, but not on the other end. They’re holding Bethune-Cookman to 28 percent from the field, and the Warriors have made only two of their last 12 attempts.
    • Tayton Conerway has a lot of shiftiness in his game. It seems like he can get past guys just with body feints and nothing too fancy. He’s up to nine points and has been all over the court for the Hoosiers.

Indiana leads 28-13 with 11:03 in the first half.

    • Hoosiers are rolling here on both sides of the ball. They’re on a 6-0 run with six makes over their last seven attempts, while holding the Wildcats to one make over their last seven attempts.
    • Trent Sisley has made an impact here early. He’s up to seven points on a perfect 3-3 from the field.

Hoosiers ahead 17-9 with 15:16 left in the half.

    • Good start for Indiana on both sides. They’re 3-of-5 from three-point range early and are 66 percent from the field. Conerway leads all scorers with seven.
    • IU has also forced two early turnovers. They’re playing very aggressively on the perimeter. Wilkerson and Enright are looking to jump passes at any chance they get.

    PREGAME NOTES

    • Aleksa Ristic and Jason Drake both went through the first segment of pregame warmups, but aren’t dressed to play. They remain out on the Big Ten availability report, but there is some progress there.
    • I’m also curious about the crowd turnout for today. Nasty weather is supposed to hit all of Indiana today, and that may hurt some travel plans.
    • Same starters for IU: Enright, Conerway, Wilkerson, DeVries, Bailey
