Seton Hall transfer guard Adam “Budd” Clark is a name to know this transfer portal cycle. He is related to Indiana assistant coach Rod Clark.
Clark was listed by Seton Hall at 5-foot-10 and 165 pounds from Philadelphia. He has one year of eligibility remaining.
Clark started all 33 of SHU’s games this past season as a junior. He averaged team-highs of 12.7 points and 4.9 assists per game. He was the recipient of several conference honors, including All-BIG EAST Second Team, as well as the conference’s inaugural All-Defensive Team.
His junior season shooting splits were 43.7% overall, 22% from three (9 of 41) and 74.6% from the line. Three-point shooting has always been his primary weakness. He has made just 35 of 154 (22.7%) from long range for his three-year college career.
Clark was named All-MAAC First Team as a sophomore in 2024-25. He led Merrimack and ranked 23rd in the nation with 19.8 ppg in 33 games. He ranked fifth in the nation in total steals (85) and steals per game (2.7). He finished top-20 nationally in total assists (198) and assists per game (6.0)
As a freshman Clark was named NEC Rookie of the Year and named to All-NEC Second Team. He averaged 13.4 points and shot 46.9 percent over 33 games.
Clark won a State Championship at West Catholic High School in Philadelphia. He was two-time First Team All-Catholic.
