Our transfer portal names to know series involves players with confirmed/rumored interest and/or interesting connections with IU basketball.
Tre Singleton is one of the latest in a long line of Indiana products who plans to put his name in the transfer portal. He hails from Jeffersonville, Ind.
As a freshman for Northwestern in 2025-26, Singleton posted 7.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. He started in 31 of 35 games and averaged 25 minutes per contest. He shot 59.6% from two, but just 9 of 54 (16.7%) from three. Singleton made 73.8% of his free throws.
The 6-foot-8 and 225-pound Singleton has three years of eligibility remaining.
As a high school prospect, Singleton was rated a four-star by 247Sports, the No. 80 player nationally, No. 4 player in Indiana, and No. 16 power forward in the country. He was the highest ranked recruit in the modern recruiting era for Northwestern.
During his senior year at Jeffersonville, he averaged 18.2 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game and led the Red Devils to the 4A State Championship.
Singleton was a high school teammate of Michael Cooper, who we featured here earlier this week.
