As Indiana shows interest in transfer portal prospects we’ll provide a quick profile with our transfer portal names to know series.

Of course we’ll cover prospects more if things progress beyond initial interest.

Next up is Belmont forward Cade Tyson.

Tyson, named All-Missouri Valley Conference for a second consecutive season, averaged 16.2 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game in leading Belmont to a 14th consecutive 20-win season.

The 6-7 guard/forward posted 25 double figure scoring games, including nine games of 20 or more points. Named to the MVC Scholar-Athlete Team, Tyson scored a career-high 31 points at Samford and made a game-clinching basket vs. Arkansas State Dec. 20.

The Monroe, North Carolina native ranked among MVC leaders in 14 statistical categories, including Top 5 in 3-point field goal percentage, 3-point field goals made and free throw percentage.

Tyson’s shooting splits were 51.9% from two, 46.5% from three and 85.5% from the free throw line.  His 3-point percentage ranked 15th in the nation, and he got there on 172 attempts.

Tyson was the 2022 North Carolina Mr. Basketball.  He scored over 2,000 career points in high school and led Carmel Christian to 55-4 record his final two seasons.

He should have two years of eligibility remaining.  His sophomore season highlights are below.
