Indiana native and 2025 IU basketball target Jalen Haralson made the USA Basketball Men’s U17 National Team following five days of training camp in Colorado Springs.
The U17 national team, chosen from the 34 participants, will compete at the 2024 FIBA U17 Men’s World Cup, scheduled for June 29-July 7 in Istanbul.
Selections were made by the USA Basketball Men’s Developmental National Team Committee.
Haralson, a 6-foot-6 guard/wing from Fishers, Ind., placed IU in his top-nine schools earlier this year. He will take an official visit to IU the weekend of Aug. 31, and he plans to decide on a college in the fall.
Now playing at La Lumiere in northern Indiana, Haralson is a national top-20 and 5-star recruiting prospect.
Another IU basketball class of 2025 target, big man Chris Cenac also made the squad.
The full 2024 USA Basketball Men’s U17 National Team, representing high school graduating classes of 2025 and 2026, includes Cameron Boozer, Cayden Boozer, Chris Cenac Jr., AJ Dybantsa, Jalen Haralson, Caleb Holt, JJ Mandaquit, Brandon McCoy Jr., Koa Peat, Jordan Smith Jr., Tyran Stokes and Jaden Toombs.
