IU basketball moved up in both national polls released Monday.
The Hoosiers (7-0) are No. 19 in the coaches poll, and No. 22 in the AP. They open Big Ten play at unranked Minnesota on Wednesday.
From the Big Ten, Purdue, Michigan, Michigan State and Illinois are all ranked above Indiana in both polls.
The Hoosiers will face No. 6 Louisville on Saturday in Indianapolis, and they’ll travel the following Saturday to Rupp Arena to take on No. 18 Kentucky in Lexington.
Two of the biggest names in basketball will pair up when IU travels to Kentucky on Dec. 13.
ESPN’s Dick Vitale and TNT Sports’ Charles Barkley will partner for the Indiana at Kentucky game for ESPN (7:30 p.m. ET) with play-by-play voice Dave O’Brien.
It’s only appropriate Vitale is part of the broadcast, as he’s long been an advocate for the renewal of the once annual Indiana vs. Kentucky basketball series.
Vitale put out the following statement on his X page:
