Introducing The Daily Hoosier Discord Server

    Let’s move the conversation forward.

Introducing The Daily Hoosier Discord Community, which we hope becomes the preferred online destination for IU fans to gather and communicate with one another.

Moderated by The Daily Hoosier, our Discord is a bridge between the media and fans, and the only Discord server continuously operated by longtime credentialed members of the IU media.  Our deep insight and live coverage will provide a valuable experience, while your interaction with other fans will be highly entertaining.

If you’re not familiar with Discord, it functions well either as an app on your phone or on the Discord website via your laptop or desktop computer.  It’s a much more modern, fast-moving, interactive and enjoyable way to communicate when compared to clunky old school message boards.  Once you get used to the pace and functionality of Discord, it will quickly become your preferred way to interact with your fellow Hoosier fans.

This won’t change anything about our coverage at The Daily Hoosier.  Content and coverage always has been and always will be completely free at thedailyhoosier.com.  The Discord chat is just an optional way to elevate and modernize your online experience interacting with IU fans, in a space shared with credentialed media members.

At $2.99 a month, it’s also a good value.  We think you’ll find you are fully up to speed on all things IU Athletics, while having a good time along the way.

With football fall camp underway ahead of a highly anticipated 2025 season, and the IU basketball team headed to Puerto Rico this week, it’s a perfect time to get this rolling.  We’ll be live at both football practices and the games in Puerto Rico.  And we’ll have multiple staff members at games throughout this fall and winter.  If you’re familiar with The Daily Hoosier, you know we attend live recruiting events too.

If you want to subscribe, FOLLOW THIS LINK.  Give it a try.  There’s a free trial and it’s month-to-month so you can quit anytime.  Be patient with us in the early weeks as the community grows, we build out the format, and get into a rhythm.

As always, thank you for your support of The Daily Hoosier.

The Daily Hoosier Discord:  Community. Laughs. News. Insight. On Location. Occasional Intel.
