Another day, another watch list for Indiana football.
Senior wide receiver Elijah Sarratt has been named to the preseason watchlist for the Biletnikoff Award, given annually to the top receiver in college football.
Sarratt earned third-team All-Big Ten honors last season, after a sparkling debut campaign for the Hoosiers. He caught 53 passes — the most by any IU player since 2019 (Whop Philyor) — for 957 yards (sixth in the Big Ten, and third in yards per reception) and eight touchdowns (tied for eighth in the conference). He would’ve easily topped 1,000 yards if not for so many lopsided victories for Indiana that led to starters being pulled early.
The Stafford, Va. native is in a strong position to become Indiana’s first wide receiver taken in the NFL Draft since Cody Latimer in 2014. Pro Football Focus ranked Sarratt No. 2 in its preseason rankings of 2026 NFL Draft wide receivers, among X receivers.
PFF graded Sarratt highly last year, with an 81.8 receiving mark. That ranked 31st in the country and sixth in the Big Ten among all wide receivers.
Additionally, IU long snapper Mark Langston was named to the Mannelly Award preseason watchlist. That award goes to the best long snapper in college football.
