Seven former IU football players made 53-man NFL rosters to open the 2022 season, and an eighth was added following the first weekend.

Take a look at how they all did with our quick weekly recap of the Hoosiers in the NFL.

Dan Feeney (OL) – New York Jets

After starting for four years with the Chargers, Feeney is in his second season as a backup with the New York Jets.  He played on three special teams snaps in week one.

Rodger Saffold (OL) – Buffalo Bills

Saffold is with a new team this year, the third of his now 13-year NFL career.  With 161 games played and 158 starts, he remains the longest-tenured active Hoosier in the NFL.

Saffold started in week one for Buffalo and played on 97 percent of the offensive snaps.

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine (WR) – Tennessee Titans

Now in year three of his career after going undrafted, Westbrook-Ikhine started in week one, his ninth NFL start.

He was targeted twice and had one reception for 13 yards while playing on 68 percent of the Titan’s offensive snaps.  He also played on one special teams snap.

Ian Thomas (TE) – Carolina Panthers

Thomas began his fifth NFL season on Sunday, all with Carolina.

The week one starter was targeted three times and caught two passes for 53 yards.  It was his most yards in a game since Dec. 2019.  He was in on 66 percent of Carolina’s offensive snaps, and 12 special teams snaps.

Nate Sudfeld (QB) – Detroit Lions

Sudfeld is in his seventh overall year in the league and first with Detroit.  He served as the backup quarterback in week one and did not see the field.

Peyton Hendershot (TE) – Dallas Cowboys

After going undrafted, Hendershot made the Cowboys’ 53-man roster and made his NFL debut on Sunday night.  He played on two offensive snaps and 17 special teams snaps and did not register in stats.

Micah McFadden (LB) – New York Giants

McFadden also made his NFL debut on Sunday.  As a reserve linebacker, he played on 11 defensive snaps and 13 special teams snaps.  He did not register any stats in week one.

Caleb Jones (OT) – Green Bay Packers

Jones was not with Green Bay for week one, but he signed with the Packers on Tuesday from their practice squad and is now part of their 53-man roster.

    Hoosiers on NFL Practice Squads:

    • Tegray Scales – LB (Cincinnati)
    • Ryder Anderson – DE (New York Giants)
    • Raheem Layne – S (Los Angeles Chargers)
    • Wes Martin – OG (Washington)
    • Marcelino McCrary-Ball – LB (San Francisco)

Braydyn Lents contributed to this story.
