Bloomington, Ind. – Today, November 12, Hoosiers Connect, the Official NIL Collective of IU Athletics, launched its second ‘IN for Indiana’ day the organization announced via release. ‘IN for Indiana’ day enlists the support of Hoosiers fans to rally together and create the largest day of support for IU student-athletes and NIL opportunities.

This year, ‘IN for Indiana’ day will include the option for individuals to earn priority points with the IU Varsity Club by purchasing a membership to Hoosiers Connect. Additionally, fans can purchase new, exclusive merchandise from the Hoosiers Connect apparel store that was made available today.

Throughout the day on November 12, Hoosiers Connect will engage with several IU-affiliated influencer social media accounts, release a new episode of its podcast ‘The Player’s Perspective’, and offer fundraising incentives to encourage mass-participation from IU fans to support the growing NIL needs from all athletic programs.

“Your participation in Hoosiers Connect is critical to our program’s success,” said IU Football Head Coach Curt Cignetti. “As we continue to grow and develop on the field and in the stands, it’s important that we keep getting better in the areas that are critical to program success with NIL opportunities being at the top of the list.”

Hoosiers Connect provides fans a way to support NIL opportunities through one-time or recurring donations and memberships with exclusive perks included. Hoosiers Connect also partners with businesses and organizations for marketing and sponsorship purposes. When donating or purchasing a membership to Hoosiers Connect, you have the option to specify which of IU’s 24 Division I sports your donation impacts.

‘IN’ for Indiana is a rallying cry to bring all of Hoosier Nation together to maximize the NIL opportunities for IU student-athletes,” IU AD Scott Dolson said in an e-mail.  “Last year’s campaign was a huge success, and you’re seeing the results. It was critical in us being able to attract Coach Cignetti to Bloomington and to his ability to make IU Football the talk of the sport this fall. It was equally vital to Men’s Basketball’s ability to assemble the nation’s No. 1 transfer portal class and be one of the Big Ten’s preseason favorites.

“We know how much you love this type of success, and if we want that to continue, we need your support again. Details are below. No matter what your level of support, it is a critical piece to our success.”
