The NFL dream remains alive for former IU football offensive lineman Kahlil Benson.
The Mississippi product signed a free agent contract with the Kansas City Chiefs after participating in the team’s rookie minicamp.
Benson is now one of seven members of the 2025 Hoosiers on undrafted free agent deals, along with the eight players from the team who were drafted last month.
Benson played at IU for five years, beginning with the memorable 2020 campaign. He left to play for Colorado in 2024 before returning to Bloomington for his final year of eligibility.
The 6-foot-6 Benson appeared in 49 career college games with 33 starts. He started games at right tackle and right guard.
