After going undrafted, former IU basketball star Lamar Wilkerson has signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Wilkerson grew up in Ashdown, Ark., less than 300 miles from Oklahoma City.
The deal will allow Wilkerson a chance to make the Thunder NBA roster, along with an opportunity to stay with the franchise in the G League. Wilkerson participated in the G League Combine last month.
An Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year, non-guaranteed, minimum-salary NBA deal. It allows teams to bring players to the summer league and training camp while retaining their G League rights if they are cut, incentivizing the player to stay in their developmental system.
Wilkerson transferred to IU to play for head coach Darian DeVries and had one highly productive season in Bloomington.
He averaged 20.9 points per game, the highest scoring rate for a Hoosier guard since Eric Gordon (2007-08). He added 3.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.0 steal per outing and finished the season as one of three Hoosiers to start all 32 games. Wilkerson shot 46.3% (227-of-490) from the floor, 37.8% (104-of-275) from the 3-point line, and 88.8% (111-of-125) from the free throw line.
He made 104 shots behind the arc during his lone season with IU, the second most in program history behind only Steve Alford’s total of 107 during the 1986-87 campaign. His 70 made 3-pointers in conference play established a program record. His free throw percentage of 88.8% ranked fourth in Indiana history for players with more than 100 made free throws in a single season.
No Indiana players were selected in the 2026 NBA Draft.
