Former Indiana basketball forward Tucker DeVries has signed an NBA Exhibit 10 deal with the Boston Celtics.
He’s the second member of the 2025-26 IU team to sign that kind of contract. Lamar Wilkerson signed with Oklahoma City.
The deal will allow DeVries a chance to make the Celtics NBA roster, along with an opportunity to stay with the franchise in the G League. DeVries participated in the G League Combine last month.
An Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year, non-guaranteed, minimum-salary NBA deal. It allows teams to bring players to the summer league and training camp while retaining their G League rights if they are cut, incentivizing the player to stay in their developmental system.
DeVries followed his father Darian from West Virginia and played one season for the Hoosiers.
DeVries also played in all 32 games and averaged 13.7 points, a team-best 5.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.1 steals in 34.2 minutes per game. He shot 39.7% (144-of-363) from the floor, 33.3% (82-of-246) from the 3-point line, and 85.9% (67-of-78) from the free throw line.
DeVries scored at least 15 points in 14 games, grabbed five or more rebounds in 18 games, handed out five or more assists 10 times, made multiple 3-pointers in 23 contests, and posted a team-high three double-doubles.
No Hoosiers were chosen in the 2026 NBA Draft.
