In the transfer portal era, it’s very early to be talking about the class of 2029.
But IU basketball fans love their in-state prospects, and it is becoming clear Micah Mohler is a name to know on that front.
The 6-foot-4 Mohler will be one of the state’s top players when reliable rankings begin to emerge for the rising sophomore class.
Mohler is at IU Tuesday for an unofficial visit. This is Mohler’s second stop in Bloomington this month. His Austin High School (Austin, Ind.) squad played in the Darian DeVries team camp a couple weeks ago.
Mohler has early Division I offers from Western Kentucky and Evansville.
As a freshman at Austin, Mohler averaged 21.5 points per game and led his team to a Class 2A regional win.
For travel basketball Mohler is playing for the Midwest Basketball Club on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit. He’s averaging 19.8 points and 8.9 rebounds per game.
We’ll have more coverage of Mohler as his high school career unfolds.
