It won’t be easy to convince Junior Tu’upo to leave home.
The 4-star Alabama safety has two home state schools in his final five.
But after taking an official visit to Bloomington this weekend, Tu’upo has included the Hoosiers in his final five schools, along with Alabama, Auburn, Oregon and Texas.
Tu’upo attends Thompson H.S. in Alabaster, Ala. As a junior he had 66 tackles, five for a loss, seven pass-breakups and three interceptions while leading the school to a state title.
The 6-foot-2 and 195-pound Tu’upo is among the top-300 overall players in the 2027 class. He’s the No. 24 safety in the class according to the national average.
Tu’upo has official visits set up to all four of his remaining finalists. Those visits run until June 19 with Auburn and Alabama the final stops — so a decision is not likely to come until late June.
