Class of 2026 5-star Anthony Thompson will announce his college decision on Oct. 21, according to multiple reports.
Thompson took an official visit to Indiana last month, and the Hoosiers are thought to be one of the top contenders for the Ohio-based forward.
Formally Thompson is still considering Ohio State, Kentucky, Michigan, North Carolina, Texas and IU. National recruiting analysts at On3 and 247Sports are reporting IU and Ohio State are the leaders in the final weeks of this process.
The 6-foot-8 Thompson is the No. 6 overall player in the 2026 class, and the No. 2 small forward based on the average of the national outlets.
Thompson will be the second major announcement involving a primary IU target, as 2026 forward Latrell Allmond is announcing on Oct. 13.
An announcement by 2026 center Ethan Taylor is expected soon as well.
