Purdue fans having been saying it for years.
New IU football coach Curt Cignetti had a response on his first day on the job.
Cignetti was introduced to the crowd at the IU men’s basketball game against Maryland on Friday evening in Bloomington.
He made a few remarks to the crowd, including this, which fired up the crowd and made waves across social media:
“I’ve never taken a back seat to anybody and don’t plan on starting now,” Cignetti said. “Purdue sucks, but so does Michigan and Ohio State! Go IU!”

So who really sucks? We’ll have to wait nearly a year. IU and Purdue play Nov. 30, 2024 in Bloomington.
