IU radio legend Don Fischer joined Greg Bateman on Getting to Know Your Indiana Neighbor.  The pair discussed Fischer’s life from a young man in Rochelle, Ill. to more than a half century as the voice of Indiana football and basketball. Two new special edition bobbleheads of legendary college basketball coach Bob Knight were released Thursday, Sept. 7. The first bobblehead commemorates Knight’s iconic chair-throwing incident while the second features Knight wearing his signature red sweater. The limited edition bobbleheads are being produced by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum in conjunction with Knight Legacy. There was a heavy IU basketball flavor at the sultry Saturday afternoon kickoff of the 2023 IU football season. Program alumni Jalen Hood-Schifino, Trayce Jackson-Davis, Race Thompson, Nate Childress, Romeo Langford, Rob Phinisee and Devonte Green were all there.  Jackson-Davis was watching his brother Tayven make his debut as IU quarterback. They even shot some t-shirts into the crowd and were introduced to the fans. Head coach Mike Woodson was there too, along with everyone from the current team.
