Class of 2025 in-state guard Braylon Mullins announced at his high school on Tuesday he has committed to Connecticut. He’s the second big in-state miss in the high school senior class for Indiana, following Jalen Haralson’s commitment to Notre Dame a few weeks ago. Indiana has offered class of 2027 in-state guard Jason Gardner, Jr. The Fishers, Ind. product was a guest of Indiana at Hoosier Hysteria over the weekend. Nationally, he is the No. 17 overall player in the 2027 class according to On3, and the No. 2 point guard. Gardner, Jr. is the son of Jason Gardner, Sr. — the former Arizona All-American and 1999 Indiana Mr. Basketball out of North Central H.S. in Indianapolis.  The elder Gardner is currently on the staff at Arizona as the Director of Player Relations. IU basketball is a consensus top-20 program going into the 2024-25 season. The Hoosiers are ranked No. 18 in the preseason coaches poll released on Wednesday. They were ranked No. 17 in the preseason AP Poll released last week. Class of 2025 forward Bryson Tiller will announce his college decision on Nov. 10, 247Sports national analyst Eric Bossi reported on Tuesday. IU is one of four schools vying for a commitment from the Atlanta product.  His announcement will come on the Sunday before the start of the Early Signing Period. Tiller narrowed his recruitment a few weeks ago to Indiana, Georgia Tech, Auburn and Kansas. Indiana has added to the spectacle of its home game against Washington on Saturday. Already, the stakes were very high, and the lights very bright. ESPN college football writer Pete Thamel reported encouraging updates Tuesday regarding IU football quarterback Kurtis Rourke. In an early morning post on X, Thamel reported via sources new insight on Rourke’s timeline for a potential return. “Indiana QB Kurtis Rourke’s injured thumb is improving enough where he could be back for Michigan State on Nov. 2,” Thamel posted on his X page.  “He’s still doubtful for Saturday against Washington, but there’s more optimism about the immediate future.” Later Tuesday morning, Thamel clarified Rourke had surgery on Monday, and restated he might only miss one game. “IU QB Kurtis Rourke underwent…

Indiana has lost another talented contributor in the receiver room. E.J. Williams is no longer with the program, a source confirmed to The Daily Hoosier. Williams has dealt with multiple injuries since arriving from Clemson ahead of the 2023 season.  He had just two catches for 49 yards this season in four appearances.  Nine IU players have had more receptions in 2024, including six receivers. Indiana still had doubters going into game seven.  But after a 56-7 massacre of Nebraska, the Hoosiers left no doubt. In an effort that dominant, it should come as no surprise several IU players had standout games on both sides of the football in Bloomington.  Below we took a look at Pro Football Focus (PFF) grades, notes and snap counts from the contest. No. 13 Indiana will be playing in front of a packed house in Bloomington the rest of the way. IU Athletics announced on Sunday afternoon Memorial Stadium is sold out for the three remaining home games — Washington, Michigan and Purdue.  This follows the sellout for Saturday’s game against Nebraska. According to IU football Assistant Athletic Director for Strategic Communications Greg Campbell, this is the fifth time in program history the program has sold out multiple games in a season.
