In a rapidly evolving recruitment, Indiana is in the final five for class of 2019 four-star guard James Bouknight. The Brooklyn, New York native made the announcement on Friday via Twitter: https://twitter.com/jam3s210/status/1027945275485310976 The 6-foot-5 recruit had missed the spring travel circuits with a torn meniscus and just recently returned.  His absence may have knocked him off the radar a bit, but his recent play has made up for it as recruiting interest soared in July. Bouknight had a recent 33 point performance during the July live period that created a lot of buzz, and Indiana coaches were there to witness…

Indiana isn’t finished offering class of 2019 targets.  The latest incoming senior to receive an IU offer is North Carolina big man Kadin Shedrick.  The offer was reported by multiple outlets on Twitter. https://twitter.com/VerbalCommits/status/1027354057969680387 It’s an interesting offer on multiple fronts.  First, most analysts believe that IU is the strongest right now with forwards in the class of 2019.  While the Hoosiers have no commitments to date, forwards Trayce Jackson-Davis and Keion Brooks, Jr. seem to be the most likely to commit with Indiana.  Other prospects like Zeke Nnaji and Matthew Hurt seem likely to at least visit Bloomington in…

If you want to talk about Indiana University football “husky” defensive back Marcelino Ball, you really have to start with his break-out 2016 freshman season. Most freshmen spend their first season getting bigger and learning the system while waiting for their opportunity.  That would have been especially understandable for Ball, who didn’t reach his 18th birthday until the March after his freshman campaign. But Ball was a sensation from day one. It takes a truly gifted talent and a quick study to compete in the Big Ten at such a young age, but the determined defensive back was undaunted.  Ball…
