Indiana head coach Tom Allen discusses Indiana’s dramatic 44-41 win over Purdue on Saturday afternoon. The win is Allen’s first in three tries in the rivalry series for the Old Oaken Bucket. Indiana beat Purdue 44-41 in overtime on Saturday afternoon at Ross Ade Stadium in West Lafayette, Indiana. The final stats and highlights from the game are below. A long overdue honor came last weekend when IU legend and the Big Ten’s all-time leading scorer Calbert Cheaney was inducted into the college basketball hall of fame.  In connection with the ceremony, several of Cheaney’s former teammates and others with IU basketball ties created a tribute video. Familiar faces appear on the video including former players Todd Leary, Brian Evans, Victor Oladipo, Pat Graham, head coach Archie Miller and former Big Ten official Ed Hightower. If there were any doubters remaining, they have no doubt gotten on board now. Trailing by four heading into the fourth quarter, the No. 17 Indiana women put together a dominant final period, outscoring No. 5 South Carolina 24-6 on their way to one of the biggest victories in the history of the program. Success on the field is translating to results on the recruiting trail as IU has plucked a defensive tackle out of Georgia and out of the hands of several prominent suitors. Georgia prospect Damarjhe Lewis announced his commitment to Indiana on Thursday.
