IU basketball class of 2023 in-state recruiting target Jalen Hooks spoke with Zach Schumaker on his recruitment, early high school career, and more. The 6-foot-7 Hooks averaged 9.3 points and 4.7 rebounds per contest as a freshman at Franklin Central in Indianapolis. He added 1.3 blocks and 1.0 steal per game, and Hooks shot 46 percent from the field for his 2019-20 season. Hooks indicates in the video that he is transferring for his sophomore year. Canadian forward Kiandra Browne announced on Saturday that she intends to reclassify to the class of 2020 and join the IU women’s basketball program. When most Indiana fans think of A.J. Moye, they think of head coach Mike Davis, a block against Duke, and a 2002 Final Four run. But Moye didn’t come to Indiana to play for Davis. Now that the 2020-21 roster is set and team activities are well underway, it is time to allocate the minutes for the upcoming season. Former IU basketball star Eric Gordon’s twelfth season in the NBA has been like no other. The Indianapolis native dealt with injuries prior to the pandemic, and the time off has allowed him to get healthy and transform his physique. He discusses all of that and Houston’s chance to win the NBA title in the bubble in Orlando. Gordon is averaging 14.5 points per game in 28.5 minutes of action thus far for the 2019-20 campaign. Indiana added talent to its defensive backfield on Thursday night. Ellenwood, Georgia based safety Jordan Grier has verbally committed to play football at IU.
