Several class of 2020 and 2021 Indiana basketball targets were in action this weekend in Dallas on the Nike EYBL circuit.  Here is a recap of how they performed. HASSAN DIARRA (PSA CARDINALS) The latest IU offer recipient averaged 10.5 points over four games.  The New York native struggled from the field, shooting just 37 percent on the weekend, including 2-for-10 from long range.  Diarra added 4.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1 steal per game.  The point guard played an average of 26.3 minutes per contest.  PSA improved to 10-3 in EYBL play. There was never much doubt, but former Indiana University guard Romeo Langford erased any lingering questions on Sunday evening when he announced that he would stay in the 2019 NBA Draft. The Big Ten Tournament didn’t go as planned last week for IU baseball. Now the regular season league champion Hoosiers will get another shot at the postseason, and to advance they will likely have to go through a familiar foe. The NCAA announced the field for the 2019 baseball tournament on Monday afternoon on ESPNU. After a disappointing end of its efforts to assemble the recruiting class of 2019, the Indiana University basketball program will look to get some momentum going with its class of 2020.  An early commitment would certainly help to move the conversation forward. It has been an interesting year for Goshen, Ky.’s class of 2020 guard Justin Powell. After playing his sophomore year at Louisville Trinity High School, he decided to make the leap to a national prep school. Prior to his move to Montverde Academy in Florida, Powell was the No. 51 ranked player nationally in the 2020 class. The recruiting season rolls on as we near the summer, and one name in the 2021 class that continues to emerge is class of 2021 Fort Wayne, Ind. product Luke Goode. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard’s rise reached a new high point, as he moved up a year at least for this weekend to play with the U17 Indy Heat team on the Nike EYBL Circuit. Indiana’s stay in Omaha didn’t last long. Now the focus turns towards figuring out how to get back. A strong performance by Hassan Diarra in the Hoosier state caught the attention of the Indiana coaching staff. And the traits that Diarra brings to the court might be just what the doctor ordered for IU.
