Indiana freshman point guard Khristian Lander is staying with Indiana, he announced on Monday afternoon. Former IU player Dane Fife will become an assistant coach at Indiana under Mike Woodson. The Daily Hoosier is able to confirm a report by CBS 4’s JoJo Gentry that the former IU guard will become a member of Woodson’s first staff. Six game season ending losing streaks will do it to anyone. After a Feb. 17 win over Minnesota, Indiana was 12-9 overall and 7-7 in the Big Ten.  The Hoosiers were comfortably in the NCAA Tournament at the time, and a flicker of optimism masked obvious concerns for a team that couldn’t establish momentum. Indiana All-American forward Trayce Jackson-Davis took many by surprise on Friday afternoon when he announced his decision to return to Indiana for his junior season. Jackson-Davis described to the media via Zoom in detail his meetings with new head coach Mike Woodson, what aspects of his game he needs to improve, his thoughts on his teammates who are in the transfer portal, and much more.
