Noah Clowney is one of two big men from the Southeast who received Indiana offers over the weekend as assistant coach Yasir Rosemond helps the program establish more of a presence in the area. The top-seeded Indiana men’s soccer team earned the Big Ten Tournament Championship Saturday, defeating No. 2 seed Penn State on penalty kicks at Jerry Yeagley Field at Bill Armstrong Stadium in Bloomington, Ind. Following a 1-1 contest, the Hoosiers were victorious on penalty kicks, 3-2, to claim their third consecutive tournament title and fourth overall. Indiana becomes the first program to win three consecutive Big Ten Tournaments since Maryland claimed three in a row from 2014-16. Joey Brunk won’t be playing his sixth season at IU, but he will be playing against the Hoosiers in the Big Ten for the 2021-22 season. The Indianapolis, Ind. native announced on Saturday evening he intends to play his final season of college basketball at Ohio State.  Brunk broke the news on his Twitter page. The first we’ll take a quick look at is top-100 forward Kaleb Banks. Intriguing names seem to pop into the transfer portal on a near daily basis. One of the latest is Oklahoma’s second leading scorer De’Vion Harmon, a combo guard  who hails from Texas. Adam Zagoria was the first to report Indiana’s interest in Harmon, and others including 247Sports followed. Harmon averaged 12.9 points, 3.4 rebounds. 2.1 assists, and 1.1 steals per game for the Sooners in 2020-21. Since what seems like forever the state of Indiana has produced enough local talent to provide the IU basketball program a solid foundation to build its roster from. In fact, the last two head coaches prior to Mike Woodson both used the phrase “inside-out” at their introductory press conferences to describe their seemingly logical Indiana first recruiting strategies. Below are senior season highlights for class of 2021 IU basketball signee Logan Duncomb. The 6-foot-9 center averaged 13.5 points a game on 59.9% shooting form the field. He also averaged over 9 rebounds a game and added 1 steal and 1.3 blocks on average. Indiana assistant coach Kenya Hunter met with the media on Thursday morning. Now entering his second season at IU, Hunter discussed his decision to stay with the program after Mike Woodson was hired and much more. Michigan State had IU right where it wanted them, down a point with the ball in the hands of their All-American point guard for their final possession. Indiana freshman Rob Phinisee fought through a high ball screen and then found himself isolated one-on-one with Cassius Winston as the Spartans’ star drove right from the top of the key.
