For the tenth consecutive year, former Indiana quarterback Antwaan Randle El is on the ballot for induction into the College Football Hall of Fame the National Football Foundation (NFF) & College Football Hall of Fame announced on Wednesday. He is one of 78 players and seven coaches from the Football Bowl Subdivision and 99 players and 33 coaches from the divisional ranks. May 30 was the last day to declare for the NBA Draft, and one Indiana player is on the final list. Northwestern transfer Miller Kopp is one of 353 early entrant candidates, an election that allows players to obtain feedback prior to making a final decision on whether to remain in the draft. Kopp’s name was not on early aggregations of the list, probably because he did not publicly announce his decision to enter the draft.  He appears on the list now as Northwestern player, meaning he likely quietly entered his name prior to his decision to transfer to Indiana. …

The Baltimore Ravens have agreed to terms with former Indiana defensive lineman Jovan Swann according to a report by Tom Pelissero of NFL Media. Swann went undrafted in April and had a tryout with the Pittsburgh Steelers at their mini-camp on May 14-16, his agent Greg Bookey told The Daily Hoosier in early May.  He recently worked out with the Houston Texans. Swann, a 6-foot-2, 280-pound defensive tackle, recorded four tackles, three quarterback hurries and a pass breakup last season. At Stanford in 2019, he recorded 4.5 sacks and seven tackles for loss. If you trust the oddsmakers, Indiana could be in for a slow start and a strong finish in 2021. Barstool Sportsbook has published point spreads for each of Indiana’s 2021 games, and Indiana fans can hope that the early expectations are as wrong as most IU prognostications were in 2020. It has been a long time since Indiana brought football recruits on campus. And the group arriving this month looks a little different than who you may have grown accustomed to seeing come to check out Bloomington. He came storming out of the Illinois huddle like an Indy 500 driver who just saw the green flag. And he crashed into Indiana’s Eric Gordon on turn one. Gordon first verbally committed to Illinois in November of 2005 before having a change of heart and signing on with Indiana in October of 2006. Former IU basketball player Charlie Miller joined the 19Nine podcast recently. Hailing from Miami, Fla., Miller played at Indiana from 1994 to 1998 and scored 810 points.  In 1994, Miller was a McDonald’s All-American and the Florida Gatorade player of the Year.  He played professionally for six years.
