Indiana enters the final quarter of the 2021 season with perhaps its best chance remaining to pick up another win on the opposing sideline Saturday. The Hoosiers could get a lift and bolster those chances if either of quarterbacks Michael Penix, Jr. or Jack Tuttle return from injury to face Rutgers. Indiana has faced six ranked opponents, each of which has entered the Top 10 in 2021, with a combined record of 39-7. Nothing will come easy with IU’s struggling offense, but the Hoosiers are favored and will look to pick up their first home win of the season against…

It won’t save Indiana’s season, but the Hoosiers’ struggling offense could get a lift this weekend when they return home to face Rutgers. Head coach Tom Allen said he expects to have multiple quarterbacks available to play on Saturday when IU takes on the Scarlet Knights at Memorial Stadium (Noon Eastern, BTN). Starter Michael Penix, Jr. and his backup Jack Tuttle have both been rehabbing injuries suffered during the season. Allen hinted Tuttle is further along in his recovery, but did not specify whether both injured quarterbacks might be available. “They’re both further along,” Allen said on a Zoom conference…
Tight end Khameron Taylor is the latest departure from the IU football team via the transfer portal. Taylor transferred in to the program following the 2019 seasons after three years with South Alabama. He arrived as an immediately eligible graduate transfer. The 6-foot-4 and 270 pound Taylor never appeared in a game during his two seasons with Indiana. He dealt with injuries during both campaigns. Indiana brought in Taylor with the view that he would predominately be a blocker, but they also saw the athletic potential to make plays as a pass-catcher. The Alachua, Fla. product had seven catches for…
