OG Anunoby – Toronto OG Anunoby has had a solid career arc, and that is expected to continue in 2021-22. Anunoby enters his fifth season in the NBA, all with the Toronto…
A once promising prospect’s career will unfold elsewhere. Wide receiver Da’Shaun Brown is in the transfer portal according to reports by both 247Sports and Rivals. Brown played quarterback and defensive back at St. Catherine’s High School in Racine, Wisc. He joined Indiana in the class of 2019 and the 6-foot-2 Brown was converted to wide receiver. He did not play in 2019 but was a two-time offensive scout team player of the week. Going into the 2020 season Brown appeared to be on the right track. “A guy that really flashed,” head coach Tom Allen said of Brown at fall…
Indiana women’s basketball will begin the preseason with its highest ranking in school history, coming in at No. 8 in the Associated Press top 25 released on Tuesday. The Hoosiers have now appeared in the AP preseason poll for the last four consecutive seasons, and the No. 8 spot marks their highest-ever ranking overall in the national poll. It surpasses the No. 9 ranking they earned in Week 16 last season. They also elevated three spots from its final ranking of 2020-21, where they finished No. 12 and have now been ranked for a program-record 38 consecutive weeks. Off the…
With Indiana’s defense focused on stopping the nation’s leading rusher and down two cornerbacks to injury, the recipe for Michigan State seemed simple — target the backup cornerback. And that’s exactly what they did. “No question they were going after him,” head coach Tom Allen said. That backup was fourth year defensive back Noah Pierre, who up until a few weeks ago was playing a different position. In fact, the Florida product has played every position in the secondary in Indiana’s 4-2-5 scheme — husky, safety and corner — since he arrived in Bloomington in 2018, while becoming an important…
Indiana fans will have to wait to find out the college plans of 4-star class of 2022 forward Noah Clowney. But they won’t have to wait long. The 6-foot-10 Clowney had previously planned to disclose his destination on Halloween, but he announced on Monday evening he is going to push that decision back by one day. “My previous commitment day was October 31. I have decided to push it back a day so I will be committing on November 1st, 11/1,” Clowney wrote on his Twitter page. Clowney is choosing from among a final four of Indiana, Virginia Tech, Alabama…
Two years behind both Michael Penix, Jr. and Jack Tuttle eligibility-wise, the plan was to widen that gap and keep 4-star freshman quarterback Donaven McCulley at or under the four game limit that would allow him to redshirt this season. But if you’ve been paying attention to this 2021 Indiana football season, you know nothing has gone according to plan for the Hoosiers on the offensive side of the football. Like most freshmen, McCulley is raw when it comes to competing at this level. But he showed enough at fall camp to inform the coaching staff that they had the…

Coming off a 12-15 season, the media sees the promise in the overhauled IU basketball coaching staff and roster.
