Indiana lost to Wisconsin by a final score of 74-69 on Tuesday evening at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Ind. The Hoosiers trailed at halftime 32-31 and let a 66-61 lead with 3:52 left slip away.  They were led in the game by Trayce Jackson-Davis with 30 points.  Race Thompson added 13.  Both had eight rebounds. A miserable night shooting the basketball means things are now tighter at the top of the Big Ten standings. First place Indiana shot just 31.9 percent from the field overall and 8.7 percent (2-of-23) from behind-the-arc against Nebraska and fell 72-55 at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln on Monday evening. IU women’s basketball moved up to No. 5 in this week’s AP top-25. The Hoosiers have been ranked all season long, and with two losses by Michigan last week, IU is now firmly in first place in the Big Ten, up two games in the loss column. Not sure who to cheer for in tonight’s game? There is a deep IU connection on the Rams sideline. Los Angeles head coach Sean McVay’s father Tim was a two-time IU football captain (1976, 1977) playing under head coach Lee Corso. McVay played safety for IU from 1974 to 1977 and he played in the 1977 Can-Am Bowl. According to Sports Reference, McVay posted 178 total tackles, including 11.0 tackles for loss over his IU career.
