Redshirt senior guard Parker Stewart will not return to Indiana for his final season of college eligibility. He broke the news on his Twitter page on Thursday evening. “Every stop was a blessing, I’m forever grateful,” Stewart wrote. The Daily Hoosier attempted to reach Stewart via text message for comment but he did not immediately respond. Stewart started 31 games and appeared in 34 in his lone season with the Hoosiers.  He averaged 6.2 points and shot 39.3 percent from behind the 3-point arc, leading the Hoosiers from long range.  He participated in Indiana’s Senior Night ceremony, signaling his decision…

For the second straight day a member of Indiana’s 2021-22 team has entered the transfer portal. And for the second straight day, the news does not come as a major surprise. Assistant coach Dane Fife will not return to IU basketball for the 2022-23 season. Indiana enters the 2022 season with little doubt about who will start at cornerback this fall. Program veterans and leaders Tiawan Mullen and Jaylin Williams return to form a dynamic duo of anchors on the edge. Cornerbacks coach Brandon Shelby enters his 12th season at Indiana in 2022. After a six months no one should have to experience, Adam Henry just needed a minute. Two days before he left for the Dallas Cowboys’ 2021 training camp, he buried his mother. A week after the conclusion of their 2021 season — a disappointing January home playoff loss to San Francisco — Henry learned his father had passed away. Another day, another anniversary of a major Indiana upset in the NCAA tournament.  Yesterday, it was IU taking down Duke in 2002. Today is the anniversary of the Hoosiers taking down an even bigger Goliath.
