Saturday marks the final regular season home game for the IU basketball team. And with that comes the annual tradition of Senior Day, which includes a postgame ceremony where each of the seniors are recognized. IU football has the moved the date of the 2025 spring game. The Hoosiers will wrap up their spring practice sessions with a spring game on April 17th at 8 p.m. ET.  The new date and time might be to accommodate television, although nothing has been announced in that regard.  The IU spring game was on The Big Ten Network last year.  This year’s game was previously set for Saturday, April 19th at Noon. There are eerie similarities between Mike Woodson’s last home game as an IU basketball player, and his final game inside Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall as a coach. Woodson’s senior season at IU, the 1979-80 campaign, started out with great promise.  Led by Woodson, Randy Wittman, Ray Tolbert, Isiah Thomas, Butch Carter, Ted Kitchel, Landon Turner and others, Bob Knight’s Hoosiers were the preseason No. 1 team. Michigan State has won at least a share of the 2025 Big Ten men’s basketball regular season title. That came via a Thursday loss by Michigan to Maryland.  The Wolverines are now two games back in the loss column to MSU, and the Spartans only have two games left to play. With his latest accomplishment, Michigan State coach Tom Izzo has tied Indiana’s Bob Knight and Purdue’s Ward “Piggy” Lambert for the most regular-season titles in Big Ten history, with 11. In a physical game Tuesday evening in Eugene, Indiana shot five less free throws than it had in any game all season. For the most part the officials let things go both ways.  But there was one late sequence that seemed to illustrate a discrepancy that sent IU coach Mike Woodson over the edge. Indiana lost to Oregon on Tuesday evening at Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene, Ore. by a final score of 73-64. No one has played in more IU basketball games than Trey Galloway. When the Hoosiers tipped at Oregon on Tuesday evening, Galloway logged his 138th game with Indiana.  That broke a tie coming into the game with former star point guard Yogi Ferrell. The Culver, Ind. product joined the IU program ahead of the 2020-21 season after he committed to play for former head coach Archie Miller.
