Indiana and the Trojans tip off at 8:30 p.m. ET on FS1.

    FINAL: Indiana 92 – Oregon 74

    Image

    SECOND HALF

Indiana is in control. 87-69 with 2:42 left.

    • Wilkerson is up to 40 now. IU just dominated since their slow start. They’re scoring 1.475 points per possession and are up to 59 percent on the game. Don’t look now, but with this win, the Hoosiers are getting the right momentum at the right time.

Hoosiers up 74-58 with 7:38 to go.

    • Wilkerson now up to 35 points on 11-for-17 shooting. Maybe not the clamest performance anymore. All of his teammates are hunting to get him the ball on the offensive side.
    • Give credit to both Sam Alexis and Reed Bailey for their defensive performance on Nate Bittle tonight. He only has 12 points on three made shots. Five of his points have come from the free-throw line.

Indiana leads 56-46 with 11:57 to play.

    • Lamar Wilkerson is up to 28 points on the night and just went to the bench. It’s been a pretty “calm” 28-point performance from him, but maybe it’s just been the norm that I’ve gotten used to. Alexis is the next-leading scorer with 14.
    • Something to note: Indiana has put Oregon in the bonus with seven fouls, while the Ducks have fouled three times.

Hoosiers lead 50-36 with 16:07 to go.

    • Indiana had a very nice start to the second half. They’ve started a perfect six of six from the field and two made from beyond the arc.
    • For those wondering, Tayton Conerway has only played three minutes so far in the game. My view is not the best, but when he checked out in the first half, it looked like he may have had a small limp.
    • Quick note: Indiana’s 1975-76 National Championship team was honored at halftime, and Indiana announced it will be building a bronze statue of Bob Knight in front of Assembly Hall. Amazing stuff.

    HALFTIME: Indiana 36 – Oregon 30

    FIRST HALF

Indiana leads 32-28 with 2:17 in the half.

    • Not the first time I’ve doubted Lamar, and he starts to get going. He leads all scorers with 12 points. He’s made two from beyond the arc, but he’s found more success getting to the rim off the dribble. IU has hit four of its last five shots.
    • Stats-wise, it’s been a pretty even game so far. The Hoosiers looked like they could’ve gotten it to a larger lead in the last segment, but the Ducks are hanging around.

Oregon takes the lead back. 19-17 with 6:50 in the half.

    • Hoosiers have started sluggishly. They’re shooting 33 percent from the field and are 3 of 13 from beyond the arc so far. Plenty of open looks, but there seems to be a lid on the rim.
    • Oregon has the early rebounding lead so far at 14 to 10. The Ducks have a pretty tall roster, which KenPom recognizes as the 16th tallest in the nation. May have to keep an eye on that if this stays close.

IU up 14-12 with 11:13 to go.

    • Sam Alexis is a perfect 3 of 3 from the field so far. Oregon’s front court is a bit bigger than your average team, but Alexis hasn’t had an issue with Bittle or any other player yet. He’s building off a great game against Wisconsin.
    • Lamar Wilkerson has yet to make a shot from the field as well. We’ve seen him battle through rough starts and still produce. We’ll see if he and Dorn can get going.

Oregon leads 6-4 with 15:25 in the half

    • Hoosiers looked all out of sorts at times in that segment, but Sam Alexis had a few buckets to get some energy into the timeout. Indiana is two of six from the field so far.
    • Nick Dorn misses his first two attempts from beyond the arc. He’s had a bit of a cold streak going on for a few games now. After having 26 against UCLA, he had only six against USC and Wisconsin combined.

    PREGAME NOTES

    • Indiana’s Tayton Conerway was left off the injury report for tonight. Barring any issues, he should be available and see playing time tonight. Oregon’s leading scorer, Nate Bittle, is also available.
    • Sorry to those who were expecting a prediction last night from me. OG has it as 79-68 Hoosiers.
    • Same starters for IU: Enright, Wilkerson, Dorn, DeVries, Alexis
