It’s going to take a Big Ten Tournament run now. Indiana competed at a high level against a very good Purdue team in a very difficult environment. But it wasn’t enough. Purdue dominated at the beginning and the end, running out to a 13 point first half lead and putting together a 17-9 run in the final six minutes. No. 5 seed Indiana took down its second straight lower-seeded foe on Saturday when the Hoosiers knocked off No. 1 Ohio State 70-62 at the Big Ten Tournament semifinals. Indiana lost to Purdue on Saturday afternoon by a final score of 69-67 at Mackey Arena in West Lafayette, Ind. Purdue led 33-29 at halftime. The Hoosiers were led in the game by Xavier Johnson with 18 points and 12 assists. Trayce Jackson-Davis added 15 points and Race Thompson had a team high 10 rebounds.
