Indiana handled its business in a final tune-up game before things get serious fast. The Hoosiers struggled out of the gate against Jackson State, and led just 17-13 nine minutes into the game.  But a 19-2 first half run put IU up 36-15 and they never looked back.  The Hoosiers won it going away, 90-51 and started the season 6-0 for the second straight year. BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Indiana defeated Jackson State by a final score of 90-51 on Friday afternoon at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. The Hoosiers led 44-28 at halftime and were led in the game by Tamar Bates with 22 points and four assists.  Xavier Johnson had 16 points and four assists, and Jordan Geronimo had a team high six rebounds. The disparity between the Big Ten East and West divisions is on full display. Despite having three conference losses headed into the final weekend, Purdue could arrive in Bloomington on Saturday with a chance to do something neither state school has accomplished. An early tip the night before Thanksgiving made for an attractive opportunity to host recruiting prospects. Indiana had at least five high school players sitting behind its bench when it faced Little Rock. Indiana will be without the services of three scholarship players on Wednesday evening against Little Rock, including a starter. Trayce Jackson-Davis, Trey Galloway and Anthony Leal all emerged from the locker room not in uniform about 60 minutes prior to tip.
