Going into the final weekend of the Big Ten football slate, four teams are still competing for the two spots in the conference championship game on Dec. 6 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. It’s down to Indiana (8-0), Ohio State (8-0), Michigan (7-1) and Oregon (7-1). It’s pretty simple for the Hoosiers, if they win, they’re in the title game. And they can still be either the No. 1 or No. 2 seed. If Ohio State gets there undefeated too, IU will be the No. 2 seed due to the conference opponent winning percentage tiebreaker. If IU beats Purdue…

Class of 2026 wide receiver Walker Bryson is no longer a commit in IU football’s 2026 class, he announced on Saturday evening. “After talking with coaching staff at Indiana I am officially decommitted and opening my recruitment,” Bryson wrote in a post on X. Bryson had verbally committed to IU in July. He is a 3-star prospect and the No. 626 overall player in the class. Currently with 23 commits, Indiana has a national top-30 2026 class. The Hoosiers picked up a commitment from former Penn State wide receiver commit Lavar Keys last weekend. Keys and Kortez Rupert are IU’s…
The historic IU football achievements appear set to continue in the spring. Several members of the 2025 Indiana football team are projected to be NFL Draft picks in April. The list includes quarterback Fernando Mendoza, who is likely at this point to be the first Hoosier chosen in the first round since Thomas Lewis in 1994. Indiana’s 31-year run without a first-round pick is currently the longest such streak in the FBS. Mendoza has at least one No. 1 overall projection (from ESPN’s Matt Miller). That has only happened once in IU history — when Corby Davis was chosen with…
Undefeated met uninspiring on Thursday evening. Indiana got off to a good start, up 10-0 early, and 27-11 with six minutes to go until halftime. The margin hovered in that area until Lindenwood pulled to within 34-28, and then 37-31 with 16:01 left in the game. But IU hit the knockout blow — a 25-8 run to go up by 23 with 9:43 remaining. They never looked back. Let’s take a deeper look at how Indiana won 73-53 with our latest edition of The Report Card. Indiana (5-0) will host Kansas State (5-0) on Tuesday evening in Bloomington. —————————————- OFFENSE…
BLOOMINGTON — Indiana defeated Lindenwood Thursday evening at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall by a final score of 73-53. The three keys to the game, highlights and final stats are below. For Darian DeVries, Tucker DeVries and Sam Alexis postgame, GO HERE. Indiana led 34-18 at halftime. They were led in the game by Tucker DeVries with 25 points. Indiana (5-0) returns to action next Tuesday when they host Kansas State. THREE KEYS TO THE GAME 1. Got the stops, sometimes multiple stops. With its offense sputtering, Indiana needed to get stops on the other end. And with their inability to…
Indiana is currently without a quarterback in the class of 2026. California-based quarterback Cash Herrera announced Thursday afternoon he has decommitted from IU. Herrera had flipped his commitment from Iowa to Indiana over the summer. Indiana’s quarterback room for the 2026 season is a bit murky at this point. Starter Fernando Mendoza has another year of eligibility remaining, but he’s widely expected to be a first round NFL Draft choice next spring. His younger brother Alberto Mendoza will be a redshirt sophomore in 2026. Third-stringer Grant Wilson is in his final year of eligibility. Tyler Cherry and Jacob Bell will…
Indiana football has picked up their third flip commitment in the class of 2026 this week. Tampa, Fla. based safety D’Montae Tims has changed his pledge from Colorado to Indiana, he announced on Thursday afternoon. The 6-foot-1 and 195-pound Tims attends Armwood H.S. He is a 3-star prospect, the No. 938 overall player in the 2026 class, and the No. 87 safety according to the industry average. “You can tell they’re building something,” Tims told Steve Wiltfong of Rivals. “What I liked most was how genuine everybody was. Indiana feels like a place where they’re investing in players on and…
Class of 2027 4-star wing Trevor Manhertz has an official visit to Indiana to Indiana this week. The 6-foot-8 Manhertz posted a photo from his Indiana visit on Instagram, and multiple national outlets later confirmed he was taking an official visit in Bloomington. The North Carolina-based Manhertz recently decided to reclassify from 2026 to 2027. It appears that decision was made to allow him more time to physically mature. In 2024-25 at Green Level H.S. in Cary, N.C., the lefthander averaged 13.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.4 steals per game while shooting 50% from the field overall and…
IU football lost the first game it ever played on Oct. 25, 1887 to Franklin. And the losses just kept piling up. Much was made when Indiana became the first Division I college football team to lose 700 games back in 2022. Coming into this season they’d long held the infamous distinction of being the program with the most all-time losses. But the losing has slowed significantly over the last two years, and the long, slow process of climbing out from the college football cellar has commenced. Over the last couple weeks, Northwestern passed IU for the most Division I…
Class of 2026 offensive lineman Ben Novak has flipped his commitment from Wisconsin to Indiana. The 6-foot-7 and 300-pound Novak attends Andrean H.S. in Merrillville, Ind. According to the industry averages, Novak is a 3-star, No. 931 overall in the 2026 class, and the No. 88 interior offensive lineman. “Best in Indiana stay in Indiana,” Novak wrote on the Instagram post announcing the news. Novak took multiple visits to Indiana over the last month. “From the get go the decision was clear to me when I took my second visit there,” Novak told Steve Wiltfong of Rivals of his decision…
