Former IU basketball forward Miller Kopp will continue his basketball journey overseas. In an announcement on Instagram, Kopp says he has signed with Limoges CSP in France.  He also posted a picture of himself traveling to France on his Instagram story on Sunday. Based in Limoges, France, the program is part of the top tier of professional basketball in that country. Kopp was the only Hoosier to start all 35 games in 2022-23.  He started all 70 games in his two-year IU career after transferring in from Northwestern.  The Houston, Texas native averaged 8.1 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.2 assists,…

The Big Ten continued to expand last week, adding Washington and Oregon as it swelled to 18 members during a particularly turbulent stage of conference realignment. Like most of the additions to the league over the last few decades, Indiana doesn’t have an extensive history against its new conference mates. The IU men’s basketball team has never traveled to Washington to face the Huskies on their home court in Seattle.  The programs have met four times, with Indiana leading the series 3-1. IU football class of 2024 quarterback commit Timothy Carpenter is making a strong impression this summer. The 6-foot-3 and 215-pound Carpenter moved up to the No. 25 ranked quarterback in the class of 2024 according 247Sports’ national rankings. The rising senior signal caller is a 3-star and grades higher than quarterbacks committed to schools like Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Wisconsin and Miami (Florida). On Carpenter’s 247Sports profile page, national analyst Allen Trieu, gave an updated evaluation of the Dayton, Ohio product. The IU women’s basketball program has been in Greece on a foreign tour over the last week. The trip allows the team to hold extra practices, play games, build team chemistry and go sightseeing. On Saturday Indiana completed the second of two games that were scheduled as part of the trip. Below you can find some summary notes from the two games, along with highlights and box scores. The Big Ten is soon to be eighteen according to multiple reports. Oregon and Washington are set to join the growing conference in 2024.  They will follow USC and UCLA, and make a total of five schools that have left the Pac-12 over the last year. Coming off an All-American freshman season, Jaylin Lucas is expected to be all over the field for Indiana in 2023. So it stands to reason he’s on the Paul Hornung Award preseason watch list.  The award goes to the most versatile player in major college football. Lucas was the first Hoosier in program history and first freshman in Big Ten history to earn the conference’s Rodgers-Dwight Return Specialist of the Year.
