Indiana landed its third commit in the 2026 class on Thursday afternoon. 3-star defensive lineman Rodney White announced his verbal pledge to the Hoosiers. “The reason they were right for me was the coaching staff and seeing what they did in that short amount of time, and also when I was there I genuinely felt like that was home,” White told On3 national reporter Steve Wiltfong. Indiana saw three players get selected in the last two NBA Drafts, but that streak appears set to end this summer. No one from Mike Woodson’s final IU squad was included in ESPN’s updated top-100 NBA Draft prospects published this week. At various stages in their high school and college careers, each of Mackenzie Mgbako, Kanaan Carlyle and Oumar Ballo were thought to at least have the potential to be drafted. Elon transfer wing Nick Dorn has emerged as a name to know on the IU basketball recruiting front. An Indiana visit on Wednesday was reported by the 247Sports Indiana site. Dorn has also visited North Carolina, Maryland and possibly others since entering the portal following his sophomore season.  His father and brother both played football for the Tar Heels. After an 11-2 season that saw Indiana reach the College Football Playoff, the football program is seeing unprecedented support in Bloomington. But relative to the upper financial echelon of the sport, the Hoosiers are still somewhat vulnerable at a time when there are virtually no rules. Indiana’s quest to add size to the roster has them in contact with Florida Atlantic’s Baba Miller according to Sam Kayser of League Ready. The 6-foot-11 and 215-pound forward is from Mallorca, Spain. As a junior for FAU in 2024-25, Miller started all 34 games and averaged 11.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.7 blocks per game in 30 minutes per contest.  His 6% block rate was No. 120 in the nation. Indiana has landed a commitment from Maryland transfer defender Kellan Wyatt, the Terrapins’ leader in tackles for loss in 2024. The 6-foot-2 and 262-pound Wyatt played linebacker at Maryland but is expected to play the edge of the defensive line for IU. As Darian DeVries’ first Indiana basketball roster comes together, the strengths and weaknesses of his developing team are emerging. Drexel transfer guard Jason Drake has committed to Indiana following a visit to Bloomington this week. A combo guard who can facilitate and knock down threes, he gives the Hoosiers a third primary ball handler option on the roster along with additional scoring punch from beyond the arc. Craig Yoho’s dominance in the minors made it inevitable he’d eventually get a shot in Major League Baseball. That opportunity arrived this week for the former IU pitcher. The 25-year-old reliever from Fisher H.S. (Fishers, Ind.) was called up by the Milwaukee Brewers Monday and made his first big league appearance Monday evening at Oracle Park in San Francisco.
