Just days after wrapping up his official visit to Indiana, class of 2026 wing Vaughn Karvala has announced his final schools and a commitment date. The 6-foot-6 Karvala will decide between Xavier, California and Indiana.  He’ll announce his college decision a week from Saturday — on Nov. 1. ESPN’s list of their top-100 college basketball players for 2025-26 is more notable for who they left out from an IU basketball perspective. Indiana offered class of 2028 guard Josh Lindsay this week. Lindsay is from Louisville, Ky. and attends St. Xavier H.S.  He averaged 7.8 points per game and shot 40% from three as a high school freshman in 2024-25. At Rivals the 6-foot-1 Lindsay is rated a 4-star and he’s the No. 16 overall player in the sophomore class. For travel basketball Lindsay played for Mokan Elite on the Nike EYBL Circuit.  IU assistant coach Rod Clark has longstanding connections to that program.  Lindsay averaged 17.1 points and shot 40% from three in EYBL games. The 2025 NFL season is underway, and six former Hoosiers saw the field in week seven. Here’s a quick overview of how they performed. Dan Feeney – Tampa Bay Buccaneers, OL Feeney played one offensive snap and one special teams snap in a loss to the Lions.  He has now seen limited action in two games this season. Indiana basketball will get a visit from the highest-ranked class of 2028 player in Illinois this weekend. Bolingbrook, Ill. based sophomore guard Brady Pettigrew will be in Bloomington according Sam Kayser. In the very early 2028 rankings, Pettigrew is No. 15 in the class and a 5-star at ESPN, and No. 19 in the class and a 4-star at Rivals. Here are the names to know: OG Anunoby – New York Knicks, 28 years old, 8 years of experience. Anunoby has played in 492 NBA games and he’s averaging 12.9 points and 4.4 rebounds per game for his career. Thomas Bryant – Cleveland Cavaliers, 28 years old, 8 years of experience. For the second time in as many weeks, IU football is getting a visit from a former class of 2026 Penn State commit. 3-star wide receiver Lavar Keys (DeMatha H.S., Hyattsville, Md.) will take a visit to Indiana this weekend, he confirmed national reports to The Daily Hoosier. Keys will actually get two looks at the Hoosiers, both when they play UCLA this Saturday, and when he visits Maryland the following weekend. Class of 2026 wing Anthony Thompson decided to stay home.  He’ll play for the Ohio State Buckeyes, he announced on Tuesday morning. This concludes a roughly two-year recruitment for IU that spanned the last two Indiana coaching staffs. Darian DeVries and his assistants pulled IU off the mat and had the Hoosiers as one of just a handful of serious contenders in the end for Thompson. As is the case each season, the Big Ten is rolling out kick times and television designations a couple weeks ahead of each game in 2025. Indiana’s game at Maryland on Nov. 1 will kick at 3:30 p.m. ET and air to a national audience on CBS, the league office announced today.
