Indiana has added a key component to its 2024 offensive line. Wisconsin transfer Trey Wedig announced on Saturday he has committed to the Hoosiers.  He was in Bloomington this weekend for a visit. A graduate transfer, the 6-foot-7 and 318-pound Wedig has one year of eligibility remaining. Wedig played in 34 games with eight starts during his time in Madison.  All of his starts came during the 2022 season.  Wedig played in a rotation at guard off the bench this year early in the season under new head coach Luke Fickell.  He saw more than 250 snaps. BLOOMINGTON — Indiana lost to No. 2 Kansas on Saturday afternoon by a final score of 75-71 at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. Indiana got a massive boost to its offense on Friday afternoon. Less than a week before the early national signing period, Indiana’s 2024 class continues to turn over under new head coach Curt Cignetti. On Friday afternoon, senior defensive end William Depaepe announced his commitment to IU on his social media accounts. The Moline, Ill. product visited Indiana this week. The 6-foot-7 and 225 pound Depaepe finished his senior season at Moline Sr. H.S. with 39 tackles (14 for a loss), four sacks, and two forced fumbles. A year ago this weekend, Indiana point guard Xavier Johnson suffered a season ending broken right foot at Allen Fieldhouse in Kansas. He’s fully recovered from that, but his health is once again a major storyline as Kansas makes the return trip to Bloomington (Saturday at 12:30 p.m. ET, CBS) for the back half of the home-and-home nonconference series. Indiana and new head coach Curt Cignetti have a veteran quarterback for the 2024 season. Ohio University transfer Kurtis Rourke announced on Thursday he is coming to Bloomington for his final year of eligibility. “I love the staff and the fact that they are winners,” Rourke told On3’s Pete Nakos. “The offense also is similar to NFL offenses. Before he went on to the professional ranks, McGinnis had what was quite simply the most dominant single season in IU basketball history. The man who produced perhaps the greatest individual season in IU history has died. Naismith and IU Hall of Fame basketball player George McGinnis is gone at the age of 73. According to a report by the Indiana Pacers, McGinnis succumbed to complications from a cardiac arrest suffered last week at his home. He was taken to Community North Hospital where family, friends and former teammates maintained a vigil of support until his passing. Upon graduating from Washington High School in Indianapolis, McGinnis had to sit out a season under the NCAA’s rules for freshmen at the time.  He would…
