BLOOMINGTON — Indiana defeated Army by a final score of 72-64 at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall on Sunday evening. The Hoosiers led 32-31 and halftime and were led in the game by Kel’el Ware with 20 points.  Xavier Johnson added 19 points and five assists, and Malik Reneau chipped in 14 points and seven rebounds. IU men’s soccer defeated Penn State 1-0 Sunday afternoon in Bloomington to claim the program’s 16th Big Ten Tournament title. Sam Sarver scored the game’s lone goal just moments before halftime. The match was played in front of a season high 4,045 fans at Bill Armstrong Stadium. IU basketball’s first offer in the 2026 class goes to 6-foot-11 top-10 prospect Sam Funches. The Mississippi product reported the offer on his social media pages. According to the On3 Industry Average, Funches is the No. 10 overall player in the 2026 class and the top-ranked center. Funches attends Germantown H.S. in Madison, Mississippi.  As a high school freshman he averaged 17 pts 10 rebounds and five blocks per game. Brendan Sorsby has looked like he might be on to something over the last few weeks. If it’s taking a minute for the redshirt freshman to get into a rhythm, that’s understandable on multiple levels. Going back to the spring, the Texas native’s reps have been limited as he competed with Tayven Jackson for the starting job.
