IU men’s soccer defeated Penn State 1-0 Sunday afternoon in Bloomington to claim the program’s 16th Big Ten Tournament title. Sam Sarver scored the game’s lone goal just moments before halftime. The match was played in front of a season high 4,045 fans at Bill Armstrong Stadium. IU basketball’s first offer in the 2026 class goes to 6-foot-11 top-10 prospect Sam Funches. The Mississippi product reported the offer on his social media pages. According to the On3 Industry Average, Funches is the No. 10 overall player in the 2026 class and the top-ranked center. Funches attends Germantown H.S. in Madison, Mississippi.  As a high school freshman he averaged 17 pts 10 rebounds and five blocks per game. Brendan Sorsby has looked like he might be on to something over the last few weeks. If it’s taking a minute for the redshirt freshman to get into a rhythm, that’s understandable on multiple levels. Going back to the spring, the Texas native’s reps have been limited as he competed with Tayven Jackson for the starting job. But over the last three weeks, Sorsby has completed 47-of-81 passes (58 percent) with five touchdowns and one interception.  He’s added two rushing scores. Class of 2024 top-20 big man Derik Queen has had a lot of people guessing.
